Carole Hanson is a bright African-American girl with a natural riding ability. Devastated when her mother died of cancer, she almost gave up riding. but her father, US. marine colonel mitch Hanson, reminded Carole that her mother would have wanted her to fallow her passion
with money left by her mother, she bought the stunning buckskin gelding, Starlight. Carole knows her future lies with horses, but there are many exciting paths to follow and she dosn't know witch road to take. Her grades are high enough for her to become a verternarian but she would also love to breed and train thoroughbreds. she wouldn't mind being a professional steeplechase jockey, or maybe traveling the world teaching Dressage clinics. Whatever career she chooses, Her most immediate goal is to be the Very best rider she can.
Like the other Saddle Club girls, Carole is becoming a young woman, Her father has started dating again and Carole must wrestle with her feelings at having to share her father with someone else and liking a boy that one of her friends is also interested in. can the Saddle Club stay together with so many other interests impinging upon their lives?
